‘Girls’ Creator-Star Lena Dunham: Auditions are Like ‘Internet Dating’

On Sunday, Jan. 13, the same night that Season 2 of the hit HBO series “Girls” premieres, the show’s writer, director, executive producer, and star Lena Dunham could take home her first Golden Globe award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series (Musical or Comedy). The first season of “Girls” is also nominated for Best Television Series (Musical or Comedy). Here are a few of the things Dunham has learned over the course of two seasons writing, directing, and acting for television.

Earwolf, Funny or Die Launch New TV and Film Ventures

Two of the biggest names in new media are expanding into more traditional film and television projects. The Earwolf Podcast Network is starting to develop and produce shows for television, while Will Ferrell and Adam McKay’s popular comedy website Funny or Die is working on its first slate of feature films.
