Daniel Lehman is a writer, editor and journalist based in New York City.
As an Assistant Casting Editor at Back Stage, Mr. Lehman is responsible for the hundreds of casting notices published each week. From editing and proofreading, to customer service, to forming relationships with actors, casting directors, union reps, and other industry personnel, he is involved in nearly every aspect of the industry. In addition, Mr. Lehman is a frequent contributing writer and columnist for Back Stage and Back Stage.com, as well as a main contributor to Blog Stage, the official Back Stage blog.
Mr. Lehman attended New York University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Journalism and Cinema Studies.
During his academic career at NYU, Mr. Lehman was an intern for Filmmaker Magazine (circulation: 60,000) and amNewYork (Manhattan’s most widely circulated daily newspaper). While at Filmmaker, he was involved in every aspect of the production of a quarterly magazine and contributed several published articles. amNewYork gave him experience in the production and publication of a daily newspaper, and he also contributed many feature stories.
Mr. Lehman’s work has been published by Back Stage, Laughspin.com, amNewYork, Filmmaker Magazine, the New York Resident, The Jewish Exponent, WorldPress.org, the Epoch Times, GotBuzzed.com, and NYU’s daily student newspaper, the Washington Square News.
